The GS Flirt Skirt sewing pattern has two different yoke shapes with 3 different skirt options. You can leave it mini or lengthen easily to a midi!
Ensure to read instructions prior to selecting which pattern to use.
Please note the pattern comes in digital format (you will not receive a hard copy of the pattern). In the interest of saving paper/time tiling the pattern, the skirt pattern pieces included are in the mini length. Instructions are included on lengthening to midi.
Additionally, for views C and D, the skirt pattern pieces are rectangles. Dimensions are given for these in the pattern instead of printing pattern pieces.
Note that for some views/sizes, the yardage has been calculated to have the yoke/waistband placed on the cross grain. If you would prefer to reorient this to the straight grain due to fabric stretch concerns, you will require approximately 60cm more fabric (length). The pattern has been drafted for the waistband to be in one length. For some sizes, it will not be possible to orient the waistband along the straight grain as is, you will have to divide the waistband into a front and back piece (adding seam allowance) prior. If you have queries on how to do this, please get in touch.
The gathered skirt views are able to be made in all sizes when the cross grain is used.

Suggested Fabrics: from lightweight viscose and silk to heavyweight denim and leather, the GS flirt skirt has a view for almost every fabric!
Each view can be made in a variety of fabrics depending on your desired ‘look’.
Please note that if using lighter-weight fabrics, you may choose to interface the yoke pieces. If using a heavy knit that has a slight stretch, you may choose to sew a closer fitting garment ie. with zero ease at the waist.
You might consider using a combination of fabrics for the yoke/skirt.
